This was one of the last homes I toured before I bought my current home in Laguna.

Huntington Beach is a nice area close to the coast, and gets "grittier" closer to the 405. This home was sort of in-between. Close to a lot of apartment complexes, but still a lot of space for HB at a good price.

An obvious flip, they actually did a good job. The kitchen was massive, and because the drive way was detached and separated by a small lawn area, it's like you had two private yards (beach property lots tend to be very thin and rectangle like for some reason).

The floor was wood, very slippery like they added a layer of wax. The upstairs was all carpet, all new. The rooms were kind of small, but not tiny. The master bedroom had a nice office nook area.

One thing I noticed immediately on the stairs were a few dead roaches. That makes me think that this place may have been infested at one point, and they called in exterminators. Made my skin crawl, I hate roaches.

Overall though, I think okay value for Huntington Beach, but we decided to pass on this one.

The roaches will provide you with protein to go with your yams!

Actually, insect farming is a good way to ensure cheap protein for the world.

That is one investing idea I can get behind!

I actually was 50/50 on this house. My wife was the one who hit the eject button immediately in front of the agent.
