Why aren't Wells Fargo employees serving time in jail?

Jailing CEO John Stumpf for 6mo would do wonders for cleaning up the banking industry.

Anything less is an absolute travesty of justice. Sure, fire the 5000 junior level employees who can't afford representation...

I'm not believing the 5000 number either.

Anyway, I think the senior management is stupid and didn't consider the possibility that lower level employees would be doing stuff like this to get a bonus. Given all the data showing how well they were cross-selling product and never a red flag did they see. I left Wells Fargo in 2010 and even then I suspected that this was going on, and I worked in a completely different part of the company that had nothing to do with this.

As goes the old saying from the movie "CASINO" with Joe Pesci and Robert DeNiro:

"Either you were in on it or you were too incompetent to see it was happening". You don't have to choose which it was since your fate will be the same...

You had two options: White or Filthy-Rich. You chose wrong.

It not what the ignorant D & R voters intend.
How much damage could many lawsuits by the employees & the victims of fraud,do?

Why?

Because the Obama Administration (especially while Eric Placeholder was AG) radically expanded too-big-&-rich-to-jail.

Wall Street, Banks, Big Pharma, and Big Health Insurance (among many others) and many other Obama-contributers will NEVER HAVE EXECS THAT ARE PROSECUTED, LET ALONE JAILED, AND HILLARY WILL BE MOOOOOAAAAARR OF THE SAME!!!

Same reason Bush, Cheney, Obama, and Hillary aren't in jail. Two sets of rules: one set for commoners like you and me and one set for the nobles. Our society never fully recovered from the Medieval Age. We just call the nobles by different titles.

Six months? If you or I committed just one time the financial fraud these executives commit on a daily basis, we'd get ten years in prison. The nobles should be punished as much as the peasants.

You're posting on PatNet, a website known to harbor riffraff, criminals, and sexual deviants. I heard the site even got banned from Amazon due to "racism, terrorism, pornography, and/or illegal activities".

How on earth were 5,000 people engaging in this illegal activity and everyone kept the secret from management? If it were this widespread among the employees, it had too be a running joke that they were ALL in on....

With 265,000 global employees, it's possible that the managers of the bottom managers could have a clue, but not pass it upward for fear of consequences. Possible, but I don't believe it.

We shit in the bankers' faces we have, not in the bankers' faces we'd like to have.
