Why Can't They Accept the Election Results?

By BayArea   2016 Nov 11, 7:10am   18 links   5,872 views   87 comments   watch (1)   quote

President Elect Trump won the presidency in an electoral landslide (306 votes with Michigan counted)

Why is it that they support a democracy only if their candidate wins?

What is wrong with people?

The only question now is whether it will take 2 more days or 4 more days for libs to tire out and go back to their lives.

Libs have also been crowned the most intolerant political group of all time as of Nov 8th. Please step up and accept your award.

The free ride is over but life isn't

Considering 30% of Americans still find the msm trustworthy even after wikileaks emails, I'm not that surprised.

They are sowing the seeds of their own destruction.

Trump has already self destructed unless he can dodge his own crimes now by using his office. The office is not even his until the Electoral College casts their official vote and January 21, 2017 when he gets sworn in. (shudder)

Did the rape allegations disappear same as the Trump U fraud will soon be settled out of court too?

The impeach movement is a real thing that Trump victory is going to contend with even before the electoral college votes in December!

The republicans will have to impeach Trump as they control Congress. I'd love to see them do that, especially if they topple his administration. The Trump supporters would have rage boners the likes of which even the #NotMyPresident protesters have never seen before.

Yep. That would be the most dangerous thing, unless he was absolutely positively beyond a doubt caught doing something incredibly treasonous. THAT would bring a revolution, and it wouldn't be as diet soda as college "anarchists" breaking windows.

People don't trust the government -- and rightfully so -- especially those who voted for Trump. There will always be a doubt.

Ivanka running never occurred to me as a possibility until just now. For a female candidate she has a great shot (depending on how her dad does) great demeanor, and generally seems like a likeable person.

Contrast that with Chelsea, who ran her mouth a little too much during this last campaign and generally acts too much like her mom.

There's a real case already to impeach Trump. Worse than impeach: if the news about his campaign colluding with Russian government to influence the democratic process he may have earned a judgement of high treason and the firing squad. The private server communications have already been evidenced and documented prior to election day.

SALT LAKE CITY – A professor at the University of Utah said there’s a strong case to impeach Donald Trump once he’s elected.

Law professor Christopher Peterson said he found ample evidence to charge the President-elect with fraud and racketeering, both of which are considered felonies within state and federal law, KUTV reported.

In his analysis “Trump University and Presidential Impeachment,” Peterson looked at Trump University, where students spent close to $30,000 to learn about practicing real estate. The for-profit college advertised curriculum and instructors chosen by Trump that promised students a high-caliber and selective experience.

But Trump University, according to Peterson, was unaccredited and taught students get-rich-quick schemes. The school closed in 2010 but still faces numerous lawsuits that could cast a shadow over his presidency, Peterson said.

“In the United States, it is illegal for businesses to use false statements to convince consumers to purchase their services,” explained Peterson. “The evidence indicates that Trump University used a systemic pattern of fraudulent representations to trick thousands of families into investing in a program that can be argued was a sham. Fraud and racketeering are serious crimes that legally rise to the level of impeachable acts.”

Peterson also said Congress can push for an impeachment in civil cases — the president doesn’t need to be criminally convicted — and that it can consider crimes committed before the candidate was elected to office.

>>BayArea sez:

The above is a false statement, and pure propaganda, with a solid dose of passive-aggressive gloating and trolling thrown in. It provably has not happened for the last 192 years that Democrats lost the national popular vote, but won the electoral college vote, and then kept silent about the injustice.

The one and ONLY time that Democrats won the presidency without winning the popular vote was when John Quincy Adams won in 1824. That was 192 years ago. Do you REALLY think it is possible to indict the motives of the Democratic Party and their supporters TODAY based on something that happened 192 years ago? Do we even know whether Democrats gloated about that particular injustice in 1824? I don't expect you to get real, but those are the facts, for the record.

The premise for this whole thread is pure balderdash.

I'll agree to move on. But I would say we know what way less than half of America wants. It wasn't even half of the voters and a lot of democrats didn't vote.

Poor Trump, they probably will impeach him in order to install Pence. That is, if he doesnt bend over and accept Ryans agenda of privatizing (read destroying) Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security. We will see if he has the balls to at least make good on keeping those programs intact, as he most certainly promised to do so.

Ironically it might be the Dems that save him as it takes 2/3 of the Senate to convict and remove. Pence with the current congress is a horrid thought. Aside from his temperament/ personality I always thought Trump was the best Republican policy wise. This is going to be quite a ride.

Or an experiment to see whether the electorate, betrayed by a racketeer rapist in collusion with an enemy government, can be distracted away from legal remedies by merely smug taunts and disparaging riots in the streets over this hijacking of the process.

Seriously, Trump declared winner should not absolve him of all high crimes if he may be found guilty especially of racketeering and high treason.
