I am assuming that like myself, the amount of interest I pay on my mortgage is barely over the standard deduction. In a few years I wont benefit from my mortgage interest either. - On 1 Mar 2012

How about $550k houses falling to $240K, this is just ONE listing in a perfectly nice area listed today. There are dozens of examples. Same can be said about other areas of the Bay Area.
