Depends on whether or not you think a good economy is one in which the jobs are created BY the government. When we tax people then hire govt employees (or spur govt contracts), does that make a strong economy? No. Let this be the first of many "sequestrians.". I put it in quotes because it wasn't really a reduction in spending - it was a reduction in growth of spending. Not to mention the recent tax increases that probably make up for it anyway, and the fact that we are complacent about runaway spending because we can always just borrow from ourselvea and then print our payments. - On 4 Mar 2013
