I hear you, but that blows up your capital requirements. If you are 85% cash that doesn't matter.

I'd prefer to sell the 205/210 cs @ 1.3 though, still rich.

I've recently covered all my longs with equal notional value in my short positions. I suppose this means I agree with your move, but I still want to generate alpha by trading into relative value.

Anywho, if you think the market is about to experience a short-term correction, well, options are cheap dude. The NOV spy 190/180 ps can be bought for around $1.1. If the market corrects more than 10% by nov expiration, you'll make 8x your bet.

Anyone else get the messages from their clearing houses today that CME, NYMEX and ICE are all increasing the haircut requirements on precious metal and other major futures contracts? They always do this when a market starts to blow out, most likely forcing the losers to liquidate, thus increasing volatility. Given that the largest shareholders of every major exchange is the major banks...is this manipulation? Perhaps.

I have no idea how to intrinsically value gold.

I do know how to read a chart. Gold may have a very short term bounce over a few days, but the longer term trend right now is overwhelmingly bearish.

    Caveat emptor, jerks!
