To add, we just tried to refi in Jan, but USAA told us, and I quote 'you have a dispute with your credit card, reported on your credit report. It says: dispute resolved." We were told point blank, that if the word "DISPUTE' shows up anywhere on your credit report, WE WON"T LEND YOU MONEY. HOW F*c*ing Ironic. The point is, any excuse to not lend money, especially if it is a solvent bank. We didn't even try to refi with any of the shady outfits with gov backing. There is no money to lend.
