That's a weird detail in an era of computer databases, disquieting in that it implies it can be erased or changed, and who'd know? Did the reporter, Pete Carey, look up that $129,250 figure in the binder himself? Why would the buyer wish the transaction to be hidden? Some observations: The guy has no kids. He eats out (says he never cooks). He drops his dirty clothes off at the laundromat and picks them up (if we left clothes at the laundromats here they would be thrown away, so I assume he uses some kind of laundry service). Basically he has a hotel room going on there and calls it a home.
Good for him with the low-carbon footprint and all. I'll be one of the selfish, unenlightened ones out here in the hinterlands enjoying fresh tomatoes from the garden, watching the kids run around and swim, clinging to my old-fashioned washing machine and kitchen range. No bars on the windows but lots of clutter.
