This just MUST be fake news.

It's not like most of his own people are quitting or being fired or saying there's a problem or anything. The Trump White House is running like clockwork!

Also Sweden and Iceland have quietly put the single payer plans on the shelf indefinitely.

Which of course is a blatant lie from a blatant liar which is why he'll never source any assertion at any time for any reason.

I however will:

What's amazing about Sweden is that employers are forced to provide wages for up to 2 weeks if a worker is found to be sick. This policy very likely reduces the total number of sick days and saves both the employers and the government health care plan money .

On the net, blogs get blocked from searches or demonetized on Youtube and other platforms. (Google employees are laid off for expressing their opinions. )

You're talking about a split second in time. Top down never works long term. The cracks are getting wider and soon capitalists will exploit them.

Coke wants to pull their advertising from YouTube? How long until a new soft drink company embraces it and gets a market worth billions?

When Kim can't breathe anymore, he will negotiate to give up his nukes.

No he wont. Capitulation isn't an option. The only way he holds power is fear and the only way he maintains fear is to pose a credible threat to the West.

The only options are war or some sort of diplomacy that allows him to save face.

What Trump is doing is asinine and pointless and actually plays into Kim Jong Un's agenda.

For the Record a Hard Right movement isn't not a religion or belief, it is a Corrective course of action. A rebuke on hard Left for too long.
Ideally sooner than later there will be another corrective course to the center. Sally Forth!

That's nice however since everything in your head is a cartoon version of reality, you're not qualified to judge what "a corrective course of action" really means.

So American society has indisputably gone very hard RIGHT economically. Unions have been busted, taxes have fallen for the rich and will continue to fall. Wages have flat-lined since 1980 while profits keep going higher and higher. Trade barriers have been lifted, regulations have been eliminated, and anti-trust laws are a joke since Republican administrations refuse to enforce them. Wars have been fought with Republicans screaming their support while they called Democrats "seditionists". There is no more fairness doctrine, no more limitations on banks, no more limitations on media, and WalMart can destroy any town it wants. Gun laws have almost universally been LOOSENED with open carry becoming the law in many states and Obama himself allowing guns in federal parks for the first time. Reagan made Eisenhower look like a communist. Bush Jr. made Reagan look like a communist and now the new Republicans in charge of congress will make Bush Jr. look like a communist by comparison.

You can't dispute any of this and you wont. No one will. When Republicans claim society has gone left, they are too bloody ignorant to consider anything I listed.

Where American society has gone LEFT however is also pretty easy to list:

The gays!!
The foreigners!!
Muh Christmas!!
Damn trannies!!
Fuck you global warming!!
Uppity blacks!!
and yes......a backlash against the cancer of feminism and social justice.

Get the picture??

Republicans embrace the most vile and destructive economic policies of the right while simultaneously basing most of their social agenda on raw bigotry. They are the worst of both worlds and very dangerous to put in power.

Remember, dictators put life above ideology, unlike the Islamists who put ideology above life. Kim knows an all out war will spell the end of the Kim regime. When the time comes, they will work out a face saving agreement where Kim will lose control of his nukes, but will still be able to claim victory to his people. After his nukes are under our control, we will engineer a regime change.

You don't understand the Asian mind like I do. You should travel East more and visit.

A Chinese girl once explained it to me. She said that the United States is rich. They have a good life. They have everything to lose. Chinese people are mostly poor. They have nothing. They work hard and get few rewards. They have nothing to lose.

In her opinion, China would win a world war if both nations were totally obliterated. We would lose the most and they would lose the least. While this seems insane to the Western mind, this is how they actually think and I've confirmed it on several occasions. They believe it is US who would be insane to start a war. No nation as strong and rich as the USA would be so stupid as to risk such happy lives. If China invades Taiwan, they believe we would be out of our minds to intervene with so much to lose.

So extrapolate this philosophy to Kim Jong Un and the North Koreans. They have nothing to lose but their lives, which are pretty damn sad to begin with. What do they stand to gain? Honor which they value very highly. It is EXTREMELY dangerous to play brinkmanship with Asian nations. Donald Trump is a fucking idiot and if I was invited to the White House and attempted to explain any of this to him, he couldn't comprehend it.

Finally there's the sociology of sociopaths. David Koresh ring a bell? Jim Jones? Leaders who sell themselves as demigods will gladly commit suicide to save face as they have numerous times in history. Kim Jong Un is 100% capable of destroying Seoul despite knowing he will be exterminated immediately. He might even fantasize about it. If he gains the ability to hit the United States, it will give him even more pleasure going out in a blaze of destruction.

Donald Trump is a total fuck. He's absolutely the worst possible man to be on stage at this instance in history. He's a failure at everything and yet I would STILL endorse his decision to use overwhelming force to capture North Korea and pray that his generals can keep a leash on him long enough to succeed.

You can't make judgements like this based on what some Chinese girl says.

That's not what I said. I said that's who explained it the best. This attitude is pervasive throughout the East.

Furthermore I think our experience with Japan in World War II drives the point home doesn't it? In that instance, they faced utter annihilation and couldn't hurt us so they surrendered. However until that time, they were getting ready to fight to the death and take as many Americans as they could with them.

anonymous says
When Kim is faced with losing everything or salvaging what he can, he will pick the latter.

Assuming this would be a HORRIBLE miscalculation and fly in the face of the examples I have already given. You are totally ignoring the cultural differences between our two societies however more importantly, you are totally ignoring the fate of many psychopaths/deified leaders who gladly committed suicide rather than surrender power.

1. Life is the most valued asset anyone can have. They do not want to lose it.

Wow, some of you are simply incapable of learning from history.

Tell that to a Kamikaze pilot in World War II. Americans are generally very ignorant of other cultures however Americans are WOEFULLY ignorant of how Asian cultures function and what they value and what they wish for in life.

You might as well be arguing that fathers who "honor kill" their daughters aren't a thing, that this doesn't exist, that entire nations don't tolerate it. Well guess what............

Not really. A couple of nukes, and they agreed to surrender and salvage what they could. When the Kim regime faces total destruction, they too will salvage what they can.

You need to fucking read what I wrote.

The Japanese could not salvage any honor by being nuked into extinction UNLESS THEY COULD FUCKING TAKE US WITH THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God dammit, why the hell do I even waste my time with well considered, well supported arguments??

That's why although the Japanese were preparing for the invasion of Tokyo and getting ready to fight to the death, they were NOT WILLING to simply be irradiated by a nuclear holocaust until every last man, woman, and child was dead and American citizens were celebrating back home. ISIS actually has the same policy. Don't be killed, die killing the infidel.

Strategist says
Keep in mind nothing else worked in the last 25 years. Do you have a better solution?

I have the only solutions.

Allow Kim Jong Un to save face with his people or launch a full scale war to subdue North Korea as quickly as possible. What Donald Trump is doing, to my best estimation, is neither. What he's doing is giving Kim Jong Un exactly what he wants to retain power AND possibly provoking a sociopath into striking first AND accomplishing nothing for American interests.

So here you claim the Japanese were willing to die for their honor, but instead surrendered to save their lives.

I'll refer you back to what I originally wrote, what ISIS teaches, and what is actually provably true.

Dying while taking as many of the enemy down with you is honorable. Being squashed like ants is not honorable. That's why the Japanese surrendered.

Strategist says
Everyone agrees with that. But right now we have to convince Kim we are prepared to roast him.

That's actually the stupidest and most deadly course of action we can take. Not only will you be giving him time to strike first, not only will you be ramping up the paranoia and fear and giving him legitimacy within North Korea, but you will be telegraphing our intent if it's a real threat and making us look incompetent and impotent if it's an idle threat. What Trump is doing accomplishes nothing positive. It's idiocy.

Strategist says
Kim and his regime are not sociopaths. They will put their lives above all else. You need to tell me how you would save Kim's face?

You consider this blind assertion to be valid while having absolutely no data to support it. I don't know why and neither do you.

Just could never happen...........

There is no evidence to show that Kim and his regime are sociopaths. So far they took 3 of our past Presidents for a ride.

Iwog, how much of family court proceedings are open to the public? I've been toying with the idea of spending a day in family court to see what really goes on, but I had gotten the impression that a lot of the proceedings are held in secret (closed to the puiblic).

Go watch. It will either be boring or shocking depending on the judge and what kind of circus attends court that day.

Certain trials and proceedings may be closed to the public if a minor child is involved however usually they are open.

So he was too much like a Republican for you then.

This is one of those amazingly simple questions that highlights massive hypocrisy and generally drives people like Goran out of the thread and out of the conversation. A person who is basically arguing that deregulation is bad just elected a president who promises to deregulate everything with a congress that has wanted to deregulate everything for 30 years.

It's like a vegetarian who scolds a man for eating a cheeseburger then for the next 4 years consumes nothing but milk fed veal and wears nothing but fur.

So how about it Goran? Your criticism of Bill Clinton is that he was a little too Republican for your taste?

The democrats have nothing but dripping vitriol for the heartland and the working man, which is exactly why they will continue to lose (at least until they solve this problem).

1. You're lying, you're speaking about fringe elements inside the Democratic party amplified by right-wing propagandists, and the "solution" y'all voted for is worse than the disease as you will soon discover.

2. The arrogance of the stupid is a well studied and well known psychological trait of human beings. The less people know, the more they think they know and no group has less intelligence than Trump voters. This is why the founding fathers feared the mob and attempted to account for mob idiocy in the Constitution. It's one of the failures of America that these protections were dismantled.–Kruger_effect

People often ask me why I'm liberal and not conservative. (mostly butt-hurt liberals) The reason is here:

1. Most of the things that the right wants are deadly to civilization and form a positive feedback loop that ends in a dark age or bloody revolution. Giving the rich all the money and power makes them gain even more money and power and so on. They do this under the false flag of freedom while hiding the fact that natural resources and therefore obtainable wealth is finite. Republicans and the right will kill us all. They are cancer. They do evil.

2. Most of the things the radical left wants are NOT deadly to civilization and form a NEGATIVE feedback loop. Feminist overreach cannot go anywhere because the more radical it becomes, the more people will revolt against it and it's only men who still make this standard of living possible. (also 5 billion people on earth hate feminists) BLM and other racial superiority groups cannot go anywhere because the more radical it becomes, the more people who actually do hold wealth and power will react against it. These forces are not capable of doing long term systemic damage to our way of life and will self-correct over generations.

One path is simply the ebb and flow of politics. The other path only ends in darkness.
