Maybe Atheism is a right wing ploy to increase fundamentalist Christianity

What is the name of the theory that is sort of tangential to the idea of reverse psychology ? The theory basically says that presenting a logical argument opposing ones strongly held beliefs has the affect of strengthening those beliefs. I forget the name of the theory. There was a good article on Patrick.net about it a while back.

Is it possible that right wing operatives actually infiltrate places like reddit atteism subreddits for the express purpose of strengthening fundamentalism in the US (a block of voters they are highly dependent on)?

Far fetched ?

Where do the Fundies get their recruits from?

Not from atheists, but generally from believers, however nominal, of mainstream religions.

You should study the roots of Fabian and Malthusian socialism, which successfully calls itself anything but socialism in this country, which is one of its most successful strategies (deceit and half-truths are warranted, given the importance of the goal at hand).

We have the Theosophical Society and the pagan beliefs of the Golden Dawn intertwined with Fabian Socialism. The modern equivalent of Fabian Socialism, as pushed by the United Nations, is called "Communitarianism" and it actively aligns itself with the Gaya/Mother Earth (why global warming is in the news) religion, as well as Luciferianism (going back to Madame Blavatsky and the Golden Dawn).

One main goal of Communitarianism is to replace all organized religions, eventually, with the Gaya/Luciferian religion that it is so closely aligned with. This religion will of course be friendly to the corrupt central bankers who designed it, under the facade of the UN.

This goal of renouncing all organized religion is actually a goal of all Karl Marx-style communism, which is where this ultimately was borrowed from by the Fabians.

Much of the anti-religion rhetoric in the mainstream media today comes from this Fabian philosophy.

Luciferianism is convenient in that it is specifically anti-Christian, whereby Christians and the Pope are the enemies. They are to be killed, according to Luciferianism. Lucifer is one of the four princes of Hell. He was cast out of Heaven by God since he felt he could also be a God. The Fabians believe that mankind is to evolve, using science and technology, so that man becomes a God -- a perfect human. At that point, God as we know it is no longer useful.

What's interesting is that Tibetan Buddhism (the "Bardo Thodol") warns of the "false light" (Lucifer) of the Bardos in the after-death experience; meaning, that if one's ego is not able to let go and dissolve after death, unity with God is impossible. This then means the individual exists in a limbo state, whereby their mind creates realistic manifestations at will... and this often leads to encounters with demonic entities, which are actually karmic manifestations from the previous life. What this means is that while Fabian socialism furthers the ego, the occult origins that Fabian socialism supposedly aligns itself with (Tibetan Buddhism aligns with many shamanic practices) are against the exultation of ego, and direct the individual to awaken the third eye in order to help dissolve ego. It would therefore seem that Luciferianism is indeed demonic in its goals, guiding the spirit toward a Hellish afterlife.

Go look it up since I already know no one reading this has done the research.

Fundamentalists don't NEED skeptics to increase their ranks.

I suppose you could make some sort of argument if atheists were actively persecuted in meaningful terms, it might push a few people over the edge from mainstream to fundy. However at least in the US this is not a real issue. For all their bleating and turning molehills into mountains, none of them have seen anything like real persecution.

Atheists generally want to be left the hell alone.

Since the weak-kneed Fabians pulled a weak Alinsky maneuver and buried my previous post because they are a bit easy to scare, I am bumping it.

    And people call me paranoid.

I can assure you that when I promote reasoning and atheism, it is for a noble cause and not to increase religious fundamentalism.

Bush said that god told him to invade Iraq. If any European head of state said that, he would be removed from office on the grounds of insanity. In this regard, we should be more like Europe.

Watch the first two minutes of The Four Horsemen: Dawkins, Dennett, Harris, Hitchens. It says all you need to know about the relationship between atheists and theists.

I don't truly think that. Just speaking to the effect. Look at me as a case in point. My arguments with you have made me more of a believer (less neutral than I was).

If you had made your arguments admitting that you are actually an agnostic antitheist, I could have respected you (edit: your view) and not felt compelled to argue.

But in that case, the fundamentalist listening to you would likely grow in their faith, as you help them reinforce their stong views, unless they were really ready to change. And even then, they would want ownership of their new found lack of belief rather than having your pov shoved down their throat.

This is the nature of the human ego. If anyone should understand this it should be you.

Marcus, all groups blow smoke up each other's behinds.

Math Club, Football Team, Sports Fans, The Loss Leader Department Colleagues at the Dollar Store, and UUCs.

"Hey everybody, let's gather in the celebration circle. We're going to sing Oh Kwanzaa, Oseh Shalom, and Silent Night. But first, here's Lisa Lunarwoman who will play "Don't Shave your Pits", a song about a woman's courageous struggle against society's vision of ideal female beauty. On acoustic guitar of course. We're so inclusive, unlike those Methodists down the road, while still being spiritual, unlike those harshly logical atheists. FAP FAP FAP***"

What I call an agnostic antitheist is someone who doesn't know whether there is a God, but is strongly against religion.

You insist on arguing that you have logical proof that there is no God, which proves only one thing, which I won't say, in the interest of playing nice.

Yes, and I find this one annoying. But don't stone me to death for feeling that way. Get it, har har ? I'm so fricking clever, I just can't get over myself.
