    Good article - except for the part that suggests the US should pay 20% down payment for renters to become homeowners. If that's the case, they should pay me back for the 20% I saved & put down on my house.,

    Thanks for the overall comments on my article.. Keep in mind that without down payment help on a sound loan, all that is left is an easy money loan with just a little or no down. We saw what happened when those kinds of loans failed.

    Just another person who wants to be generous with other people's money.

    Only part I agreed with was the part about the wholesale sale of properties to keep individuals from buying houses.

    The down payment is the problem with housing that is otherwise extremely affordable.
