Every person who calls for Obama to be removed from office because he's a foreigner would gladly make an exception for Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Even if Obama had been born in Kenya -- which he wasn't -- it wouldn't make crap difference. The intent of the constitutional rule that only native-born U.S. citizens or those born abroad, but only to parents who were both citizens of the U.S. may be president of the United States was to add protection against a person who's loyalty was to a foreign government/army from becoming command and chief of America's army and thus threatening our sovereignty. In actuality, there is no practical difference between someone born in Kansas and someone born in Kenya who moved to Kansas at the age of three months. A three month old baby isn't going to have a whole lot of brand loyalty to the nation state in which he lives, and it will hardly affect his adulthood loyalty. Birth is nothing more than an event that is convenient to use as a marker. So even if Obama had been born in another country, it really wouldn't make a material difference.

But, of course, Obama wasn't born in Kenya. He was born in Hawaii. The rumor that Obama was born in Kenya was entirely fabricated by Fox News as a deception, a deliberate misleading of the public (at least the dumber members of the public) to distract them from the real issues. Now, when a large news organization -- and I use the term "news" very loosely -- deceives its audience, the rest of us can understand the initial questioning of Obama's birthplace. However, since the claim was extraordinary, the burden of proof has always been on the accusers. There has not been a single shred of evidence that Obama was born in a foreign land. Furthermore, the proof that he was born in Hawaii has been substantial even more than what exists for the average American. His birth was even published in a local Hawaiian newspaper.

So at this point, it is utterly ridiculous to demand further proof that Obama was born in America. In fact, anyone who still questions Obama's birthplace will not be satisfied with any proof including traveling back in time and witnessing the birth first hand. Since such people are utterly incapable of admitting that Obama is and has always been a U.S. citizen, one must ask what is the real motivation behind all the Birther rage. The fact is that "Kenya" is code for black and "elitist" is code for uppity. Take a guess what the term elitist Kenyan means.

There are plenty of legitimate reasons to impeach Obama (see my previous posts if you want a list). However, being born outside of the United States is not one of them. If you are going to call for the impeachment of the president, which is what all the Birthers want, then call for the impeachment for good reasons and not made up bullshit. Of course, most of the impeachable offenses committed by Obama had also been committed by Bush, so if you prosecute Obama, you might have to accept seeing Bush in handcuffs as well. Personally, I support prosecuting both of those criminals as well as cabinet members who aided in their crimes.

The really sad and scary thing about the Birther movement is how easily the dumb masses are manipulated by even a transparently disingenuous sound bites coming from a media outlet. Such unskeptical acceptance of misinformation and the hatred that accompanies it is exactly what causes people to elect dictators and allow them to consolidate power.

The Constitutional eligibility requirement is not "native-born" but "natural-born" citizen. Before you start arguing that these are the same, let me mention that INS makes a distiction between these two terms. On their web site (uscis.gov) there is a document that mentions naturalized, native-born and natural-born citizens as separate categories.

But that is not the point of this particluar thread. The topic is document fraud. The long form birth certificate published on White House web page in April 2011 is a forgery.

I find it interesting that Obama supporters do not want to comment on the substance of Sheriff Arpaio's investigation.

It was mentioned that the microfilm of passenger lists arriving to Hawaii between Aug 1 and Aug 7, 1961 is missing from the archive. It is very interesting that so many documents that could shed light on circumstances of Obama's birth are simply missing from archives.

It is very likely that we have an usurper in the White House.

No. The Supersekrit Socialist Conspiracy placed notices in TWO Hawaiian Newspapers, because in the early 1960s, before MLK was assassinated and racism was widespread in the USA, they considered it a strong possibility that they could fool Americans into placing the child of an interracial couple into the Presidency 50 years in the future, before the days-old baby could say a single word.

So Stanley Ann Durham was a Sarah Palin, to be so irresponsible as to be flying (or cruising) so close to her delivery date? And discourteous to all the other passengers, who would have their travel very well possibly interrupted by an emergency trip to help a passenger going into labor.

Later of course, the sekrit Socialist Conspiracy destroyed all evidence.

What about Barak Sr.? Wasn't he a bachelor's student at the time? I believe he graduated in 3 year's time, by 1962. How did he graduate so fast if he kept flying back and forth to Kenya/?

forged birth certificate posted on the White House web site

Alleged by a right wing sheriff who is under investigation by Obama's justice department for profiling Hispanics to track down illegals. I guess if he's in law enforcement, and the other people he got together in response to a Tea Party request are obviously experts, then it must really be a forgery.

Kenyan Minister of Lands, James Orengo said the following on March 25, 2010 while adressing the Kenyan National Assembly:
"If America was living in a situation where they feared ethnicity and did not see itself as a multiparty state or nation, how could a young man born here in Kenya, who is not even a native American, become the president of America?"

This is all manufactured by Fox News, right?

The DoJ refused to bring up charges against Arpaio - they wage media battle against him but presented no evidence of wrongdoing. Unlike team Obama's smearing campaign, Arpaio's investigatrs provided SPECIFIC evidence why the document posted on the White House web site is a forgery.

If it is not a forgery it should be simple to refute Arpaio's claims. What is Obama waiting for?

Clearly they aren't going t get Obama on a sex scandal, or a land deal, or on killing his friend because of an affair with Michelle, but I'm sorry, I just don't see this birth certificate BS working. Unless they have somehow lucked out and it's true.

Remember the olded days when you would just accept and respect your president, but try to elect someone else if you don't approve of his policies?

Maybe they should look in to election rigging.

Yes. And if James Orengo happen to have said that before Fox News spread the rumor, then it's probably what gave them the idea. If he said it afterwards, it just means James Orengo was wrong to listen to Fox. Either way, Orengo isn't infallible.

Same with Solyndra
Same with Fast and Furious
Same with Black Panther voter intimidation
Same with paid-off science used for man-made global warming
Same with ACORN scum bags
Same with Code Pink silent for last 4 years
Same with Gitmo still being open
Same with (fill in blank) done by Bush or any R-side folks.

If paid off science wins, then no way would we believe in man made global warming.

I guess there are people who think what, that the money from people who might get an investment in green technologies, are a HUGE money influence in climate change science. And all the existing industry that would be adversely affected by acceptance of man's role in GW, are just small time relatively insignificant in comparison (that is with respect to money and political influence)?

no no , I was just taking the words of the scientists on their once-secret emails at their face value. I could choose to believe some of what is revealed, and none of other stuff, but then I'd be a liberal ... and that just don't work for me!! lol -- I kid, I kid.

My true point was both "sides" do the same thing. Obviously.

I sat here and tried to figure out why Gold has any value to man, and how things would be so much different without a debt creation system based on a value placed on Gold by many humans on earth. Oil is valued against Gold (right?) .... but Oil is a bunch more useful than Gold to humans ... same with food, farming, medical skill, building skill, teaching skills (all skills I guess) .... in my little mind I just do not see where, why, how, Gold was made a must-have rock. Maybe as a superconductor in today's world ... but in 5,000BC it is just a shiney rock that did nothing to help humans do anything but buy stuff.

It is at times like this, that I figure that there is a missing ancient text from Sumar or Atlantis, that explains what great use Gold has for humans and why humans would want to have a large supply. Just pondering to myself - outloud.

I do think bad-science is very much real, due to a flawed funding system for scientists. They are forced to show their worth. They must please whomever holds the purse strings. That creates a situation where the science is results driven. The EPA is a power broker and cash register and a cancer on America. But, both sides have allowed the EPA to stay around. Both sides.

Ok, going back outside. It is really nice again today. Enjoy the day.

Sorry I hate to inform you that scientists DO get onto baloney bandwagons for the purpose of publishing papers. The reason is often publishing more papers leads to financial gain.
My friend at a research institute was chatting with me. He is going to get a grant to do work on growing algae as a fuel source. He said to me "Don't tell anyone it won't work, I know, I want the grant."
Another scientist I know also wrote a paper related to temperature and a local species that was over harvested and is gone. He wants to make it the fault of the temperatures, because he can write his paper about this angle.
Both of these guys make more bonuses at their work based on published papers. It's not just prestige but actually financially lucrative to study nonsense topics.
True scientists proved at CERN that cosmic rays can form clouds. Clouds are responsible for 99% of temperature control of earth. The amount of cosmic rays produced by the sun varies greatly.
Since CO2 is a plant nutrient, many scientists do not believe the alarm over CO2 getting much higher in the atmosphere, as it will be often consumed by land and ocean plants.
Of course, when we grew giant cultures of algae we needed to pump in CO2 gas to increase the density. Air has too little CO2=Carbon for the amount of plant material we needed to produce.
The nonsense assumptions that one must make to believe that our tiny CO2 conc. in the atmosphere can change the climate are too many and too huge to take at face value.
Another assumption is that there is an "ideal" temperature of the earth. When was it "perfect"? Which year?
Cold is definitely worse than warm on this earth.
