Here is a bullshit ad being run by the NAR where they claim that "the dream of home ownership is being threatened" and that they are "here to protect you."

Talk about BS scare tactics. This is like the fox telling the hens that their coop is being threatened and he is here to protect them.

From the Zoolander movie: "...but now the age-old right of children to work is under attack!"

I was visiting my parents a couple of weeks ago when I saw this on TV. Dear god, I wanted to throw their TV through the window about 30 seconds into it. What a load of shit. The only things that are going to prevent little Billy there from buying a house are student debt and overpriced RE. Tight lending standards certainly aren't in QUALIFIED buyers' way.

Greg, does the CAr hold local staff meetings or anything? If so, and assuming you go to them, what does the NA/CAr consider the threats to homeownership to be?

That's poor salesmanship. This is America, no one believes in good intentions by special interest groups anymore.

The enemy is invisible! We have the weapons to uncloke them. We used a crop duster to drop our first supply over Stockton and the results were staggering. Our uncloking technology only lasts a few minutes but in that time we saw enough to make our stomachs turn. The weapon traces the path of the dollars paid for the houses that are now underwater. Here is what we saw.

    1) The houses of our very own realtors in the area lit up like christmas trees. They have gobs of money stuff in their mattress, put into new cars, toys, fancy landscapings and pools.

    2) The next windfall was uncovered in the pensions of the public workers. The tax revenue from the housing boom created a frenzy in increasing the wages of public servants. Lifetime pensions at 100% for just working 1 year in some jobs. The greed was unimaginable.

    3) Another pile of loot was discovered in the general contractors of the area. During the boom there was no ceiling on what they could charge. You want a balcony? 20K. You want some bathroom renovations? 50K. A new garage? 100K. What does it matter to you, you can just take out a home equity line and it only costs you $14/mth?

    4) Another surprising significant chunk of money was found in the basement of decrepit downtown home. It belonged to a kiosk worker. We were stumped how he had collected so much money. Our investigation took a long time but finally uncovered the truth. His kiosk is the only one in the area that sells hair gel. Apparently, it was well know in the realtor and car dealer world of the quality of his product. He had a monopoly on the grease hair market look. As realtors started doing more open homes, as car dealers started selling more vehicle to home equity junkies, the use of the product when through the roof.

Anyway, if you want to get your supply of our uncloking formula, just sign up. It is an easy payment of 6% of your total wealth each 7 years for the rest of your life. In the end, I'll end up wealthier than you, but who is really keeping track.

    NAR executive.

It's like a psy-op. Calling a house a home, the American dream BS etc.

It's called the American dream, because you have to be asleep to believe in it - George Carlin, the Genius .

He had plenty of rooms in his LA Mansion to pick from to sleep in...
