I was excited to see the new Property Reviews forum. It is a good tool to encourage 'free form' discussion about the properties. Here a few questions for you.

1) I vaguely remember, there was another forum to discuss properties. what happened to it? It had bunch of comments

2) you'd get much more participation, if you keep the forum OPEN. Currently it is walled-off, and this bounces users off very quickly
If you get enough comments, you will start showing up on Web search results, and it will encourage more comments ...

Anyone who writes a review of an open house gets acess to all the other reviews for a week. And they get free access to the rental comps and price & rent history for that week too. I know it's not necessarily clear. How can I make that more obvious?

Actually, I already do that in a way, since all thread titles are forced to be unique in the database. So giving an address as a title will make that one thread the definitive thread for that address. Let's see if I can move all threads with titles that are addresses into the Open House Reviews forum... update threads set category=11 where title regexp '[0-9]+ +[A-Z]+.*[0-9]{5}\$'; Worked! Now we have 77 pages of reviews: http://patrick.net/forum/open-house-reviews/ Please post other suggestions for improvement too!
