About a week ago I wrote about an attorney who was found dead in her condo in Las Vegas. She was the lead attorney who made millions of dollars by stacking HOA’s with straw buyers and basically screwing the tenants/owners:
“Federal prosecutors accuse the co-conspirators of stacking HOA boards with members who pushed for construction defect lawsuits against builders. The boards then steered legal and construction repair work to the co-conspirators.
“Justice Department lawyers from Washington, D.C., who are spearheading the investigation, are moving forward with the case despite the recent deaths.”
Those deaths include Ms. Quon… a former police officer who killed himself in 2008 shortly after an FBI raid, a HOA board member who died of a drug overdose in 2010..
But the feds aren’t done, they’ve stated that they intend to name around 20 new defendents in the case in the near future. And people are getting nervous, I guess, about who’s next in line to die or get beaten:
David Amesbury, another attorney who was cooperating and pled guilty to two counts of conspiracy. Last November he was found badly beaten on the streets of Henderson (adjacent community to Las Vegas, where some of the associations are located):
“He was really beaten to a pulp," the source said. "He had two broken ribs, and both his kneecaps were shattered. He also had a variety of facial injuries. A bloodied Amesbury was dressed only in his underwear and shoes when he was discovered lying in the street in the quiet neighborhood, according to Henderson police reports.”
The story goes on to state that Amesbury made suicidal statements at the hospital as he was being treated for the beating. Amazingly enough, no one was able to tie the beating to the investigation, even tho there’s been much speculation on the subject. Amesbury won’t talk – or wouldn’t.
He was found dead in California today. You can’t make this shit up.
