Why should saving capitalism even be an objective? Our goal should be to create a sustainable, dependable economy in which every person can maximize his or her productivity and keep the lion's share of the wealth he or she created. Who cares what the underlying mechanism is as long as it works. If capitalism fails to do this, then replace it with some other mechanism. Economics should not be a religion.
