I did some work with OS/2 back in the mid 90's. I thought it was pretty cool at the time.

    I can remember when most if not all of the automatic teller machines ran on OS/2. It's only been within the past ten years or so that Java replaced it...and that was only possible because it runs on commodity hardware which became bulletproof and dirt cheap.
