Would be funnier if it weren't true.

If you have been to Japan you would see how submissive and respectful of authority the natives are.
Some old asshole trying this out in the USA would find his results may vary.
In China it was great for guys however. I stood on this wooden box and cute Chinese security girl patted me down. After I was done I said "Can I go through again?"

I found Narita to be orderly and every person in the screening process made sense. They were there to keep the flow going, and made sure you were prepared for the next stage. I felt ashamed of the cluster fuck our Airports are actually after seeing how it's supposed to go.
Just the right amount of people at the precise place needed, highly trained professionals, that could tell the difference between a book bag, laptop vs bombs and bomb making materials. The queue moved in an orderly fashion. Instead of bottle neck of stupidity.
Japan has the right to mock us in that regard.

It is not just airports. I found that in Japan and China lines in general go more smoothly than here. Everyone there is ready to go when they get to the front of the line, whether it be a supermarket checkout or ticket window for a train station. Each transaction is done in 10 seconds. None of this waiting until you get to the front of the line then pulling out your checkbook then deciding that the bill is to high and wanting to put some items back then making light conversation with the clerk then asking to borrow a pen to write your check, etc.
20-40% of all lines in the US are relative cluster fucks.

Well if it's just about lines, then you have to give NYC their props.
I once saw a single file line wrap around the block for a Hoagie cart. In Miami business is done by mobbing the counter and he who shouts the loudest, or the counter help's favorite hommie, get's served next.

Americans behave the same way in lines as they do in traffic.
That's why we have traffic jams when there are five lanes in each direction, yet the Autobahn has two lanes and runs smoothly.

Well, for the most part we know how to get into a line; we just don't know what to do when we finally get to the front of the line.

While I have never been to Miami this is exactly how every "line" is done in Egypt. Even the MacDonalds in Cairo has a mad press of people yelling waving and screaming at the cashiers who take orders from anyone who can get their attention. The only the exception to this is places that are exclusively patronized by foreigners.

That's shameful. Such a scene of chaos and discord should only take place on the floor of a major stock exchange.
