I cannot find a single house undeer 1Mil in Palo Alto area now. may be because facebook shifted to menlo park and is going public

And it doesn't help that "developers" are buying the cheaper properties that need work and doing them up to sell for over $1mil - I want just one house that needs doing up so I can afford to buy it - not possible to compete with the all cash buyers :-(

I take back everything I said about bay area buyers being anal parameciums. This one amenity is a definite game-changer for me. A fresh coat of point, carefully applied by a paint engineer from the home depot parking lot, definitely makes this house worth every dollar of that $829K.

Again something like 3-4x median incomes. $800K today.. like so many things .... its all hype!
