Apparently when you're talking about small time municipal laws, I think you're talking about a political body that's more small time than the school board or the PTA. In 1897 there was an attempt to legislate an incorrect value for pi, in the Indiana House of reps.(this was a state government !) The tax burden allegedly being heaped on the backs of the "rich" are a diversion from the taxes that are being extracted from all classes of people on a daily basis. Taxes are going up for the middle and lower class due to: Inflation Cigarette tax Liquor tax License (fees) tax and in a myriad of other ways such as passing along price increases to the end user, etc. But go on back to watching TV, everythings OK.

If he didn't eat it, the right wingnuts would be calling for some biblical punishment for disobeying his father. Eating dog will be normal in America if Romney gets his way. That's all the bottom 50% will be able to afford in 2025. It's a slippery red-slime and denial covered slope. Only when those lazy bottom50 asshats taste dog will they get the motivation to earn an honest Abe living. Meanwhile, Romney can use the bottom50's social security taxes to fund wars that will build up the cash reserves of private defense companies. Bain will later do a leveraged buyout, steal their cash, take out some loans, and let them go bankrupt. Romney will get the spoils at the new 5% capital gains rate. It's a win/win/win situation - Romney wins going forward, backward, and sideways. Let them eat cake will be replaced with - be grateful for your dog meat and stop your class warfare.
