If I change to 25004, it is coming in your range of 550k$. When I told the selling agent, I can offer 680K$, she said it is too low. Does it mean, 1. she has offers more than the listing price or 2. she wants me to increase my offer? If I put the offer price less than listing price, will she will take my offer? Do people give offers less than listing price? If so how does it work.

Do people give offers less than listing price? If so how does it work. You can offer whatever price you want. They can accept, counter, or reject your offer. I put a property up for sale 2 months ago for $199k. Sold it for all cash at $215k. Some idiot sent in an offer for $131k. All other offers came in between $190k-$220k. Nice house in a nice neighborhood. Centrally located. I believe this house will go pending within the next 2 weeks.

I don't know of San Jose market but if it were in the market here in Socal,it means it is going to be back on market with lower then the prior asking price. :)
