This house is fairly small at 1540 square feet, and it doesn't feel like the property is large enough at 7548 square feet. It's on Lexington, and the rear of the house faces west (read: hot and sunny) and is on the side of the street closest to the freeway (the 280). That said, it has a nice, open layout and the home has been finished in such a way as to be pleasing to the families that want to live in this area: granite countertops in kitchen, slate floors, carpet in bedrooms, updated bathrooms, newer windows, roller shades on the wall-to-ceiling windows, nice paint, etc. The landscaping is fine but even my son commented "geez, they should have at least mowed the lawn!" Oh, and the realtor was arrogant -- barely said hello to us because he was in the middle of telling another family that he already had many offers and if they thought they were interested he would only take theirs by noon the next day and it "had better be their best offer possible." (Seriously, he said it like that.) Personally, I wouldn't buy it, but I like that area of San Mateo so we checked it out.

I'm sorry I didn't know about this property yesterday. I took a huge dump after being constipated for a few days. I could have done my "business" on their front lawn. $600+ per sq ft? Get out of here. What a ripoff.
BTW, Realturd web site has tracking software on the main page. For all of his valued friends and clients. :-(((

I actually like it from the pics, a cool little contemporary house in an attractive location. But really, who are these people willing to pay upwards of $1 million for what amounts to a nice little house? And desperately bid against each other?
This is still at bubble prices - if you believe that the coveted peninsula is and always will be at peak price, then, I guess this is what you're dealing with. I for one like the 'hot, sunny' west facing - but it probably also gets the cold wind.
Here's the full sales history:
