Romney Promised to help me and my family, Obama promised to stop the oceans from rising.

I guess Obama wasn't Moses after all.

    the article is poorly written.

"The problem, of course, is that it becomes difficult for the average person to price stocks and houses because of all the hot money interference that is swooping down on these assets. These assets become commodities in and of themselves, and massive buying creates scarcity, even though demand from all but the 1 percent is down. "

Maybe in SF sure but not in the rest o the country. We already learned from the hunt bros back in the 80's that bubbles exist. We learned it again with the dot com bubble. So to suggest that housing is a commodity is a bit of a leap. A commodity is standard. 1 oz of gold is the same as every other 1oz of gold (removing any rarity of historical basis that is). Most people live in cities and frankly it isn't that hard to slab up an apartment unit. More importantly even if it is expensive then it simply means the rent can become half with a roommate.

"Gambling in the housing market by the 1 percent, not as Rick Santelli says, the average buyer, is just wrong. Shelter should not be subject to this game."

To suggest that a home is just shelter is going back a long ways. Does shelter include a garage and a yard? There are countless empty homes on the planet. To suggest that someone get a buyers guarantee on a price is foolish since no vendor would really do that on a larger scale. Getting money back on something that goes down in price is like a old 90's circuit city commercial.

Your response was more poorly written. I am wondering if you really don't believe that easy money drove up prices in the housing market. If you don't believe easy money did this then just say it. You will be wrong if you say it but if you believe it, say it.
