I would like to title this technology after that seasoned quip .

"AOWTH"
"Accident On It's Way To Happen. This technology is as silly and as unpredictable as everyone operating flying cars. Aks ANY pilot why this hasn't happened.
Might American Airlines provide free towing ?
Will ALL potential hazards be recognized & avoided ?
Will the programmer be liable ?

THAT is a great lookin model. Think of the stomach twisting videos that could be taken with that GoPro. Of course, the concentration level needed just to hover that devise would be like a crop duster pilot's required concentration level. Then you need to focus on your subject video. (Crop Duster pilots can't get life insurance.)

Imagine for a moment, lifting ALL vehicular traffic up & off of the asphalt. Eliminating traction, eliminating guidelines and visual targets, then add TWO more dimensions UP & DOWN.
Maybe they could all be "NERFAIRMOBILES"

Their doing it to "protect us". Yep, the Peoples Republic of California want to control your actions in your own car. Next they will eant to control your actions in your kitchen, bedroom and bathroom.
You're not free any longer, are you? Admit it.

I can envision smart roads that communicate with smart cars. But cars with computer systems navigating in their own awareness of the environment. Is kinda scary.

What is the real difference between a flying car and a small personal helicopter like a Rotorway?
Other than a copter, I suppose the next iteration of "flying car" will be a vehicle you can drive to the airport, fold down the wings for take off, fly to another airport, fold up the wings then drive the rest of the way to your destination.
