The man is simply pandering to the tax and spend left.
When one runs up their credit cards, spending more isn't an answer. It's only an answer if you want to go more into debt and kick the can a little while longer until the interest payments kill you. Debt is slavery, and their solution is more debt.
These left wing Keynesian ideas are just plain dumb.
