As a counter-point to this thread, I'd like to point out that Libertarianism is not a racist or selfish philosophy. It does have two fundamental flaws; it does not incorporate game theory or public property, which are critical to include in any political philosophy. The lack of public property acknowledgement is why Libertarians are terrible on environmental issues. The lack of game theory is why their goals are often twisted by corporate shills.
Nevertheless, as a philosophy, libertarianism is fundamentally sound. If these two flaws were address in a new philosophy, say rationalism, then it would form a good basis of government. I hope the above video illustrates why libertarianism at its heart is a good thing even though its practice is wanting.
And clearly, libertarianism and racism are polar opposites.
