The biggest new cohort I see in - private and public - colleges and universities is fucking MBAs and they are toxic, expensive, clueless pieces of shit who have no business in education.
MBAs who've gotten management or development positions at universities have invariably fucked things up, basically by having no idea how the things actually work and no understanding a lot of the research money that was flowing fast 20 years ago and built a lot of lab space is drying up fast.
Universities are different - that's why they were founded overwhelmingly by churches in the early days of the US as not for profit institutions.
