For instance, your case will be heard by an "independent" consultant. Who is this person? No one knows? Did the borrower have any input in the selection of the consultant? No. Does this matter? You bet.
If the independent consultant rules against the borrower there's no right of appeal, no way to dispute the judgment.
"The decision of the review is considered final and there is no further recourse within the Independent Foreclosure Review process."
Meanwhile, what happens with the data and information collected from the borrower?
