Money is just one of many tools used to intimidate.
Even The creator, Phillip Zimbardo got caught up in the "POWER TRIP" of his own experiment.

My conversation with my insurance company regarding a hip replacement operation due to extreme pain I was in.
State Farm: Why do you need this operation?
Me: I can barely walk because I am in so much pain
SF: So how does that affect us?
Me: My policy covers this operation
SF: We think you should get the VA to do this procedure
End of conversation. Request denied.
State Farm knows that I am a Veteran and can get the care I need at no cost to me or them.
Real nice.

"more money makes people act less human"
Incorrect. Money makes people reveal more of their innate human nature. We're apes with car keys, nothing more.

It's true. Human beings, like almost all animals, are naturally programmed to procreate, provide, and protect. Turns out money can solve all three of those problems if you have enough of it.

I've heard those referred to as "The three F's": feeding, fighting, and... can't remember the last one.

One cynical blogger referred to human beings as "psychotic hairless apes that can't handle reality."

Fascinating article.
Sort of a nurture vs nature perspective.
Sometimes the rich are different than us, due to their nature. But partially, it's a case of money turning people into assholes. Reminds me of that experiment that showed how easy students could slide into being Nazis:
