Does this mean that Buyer Agents do not sell houses because they love seeing people move into a dream home?

An event in my life that really sticks out.
It was 2004 and I had just completed engineering school and began the interview process for my first job.
I was fortunate enough to get an interview at a top biotech firm here in the Bay Area.
I met with the engineering director there who asked me a series of questions which led to the following, "With an EE degree, why do you want to work for a biotech rather than a more traditional hardware or software company that's typical off EEs coming out of school"
The truth of the matter is that I wanted to land a first job and cared less about where that first job was. Anyway, I was a young naive 22 or 23 year old at the time and I made some comment about welcoming the opportunity to help people.
The engineering director stopped me and while noticeably annoyed, he told me that his company exists for profit like any other company and to never repeat what I just said during an interview again. I didn't get that job, but I remember it like it was yesterday, lol.
Realtors loving to see people recognize the American Dream reminded me of my experience, lol.
