If you don't think Obama is winning, check out what the money says.

http://iemweb.biz.uiowa.edu/graphs/graph_Pres12_WTA.cfm

(note: if you like Romneys chances you can get better than even money on the IEM for up to $500)

Wanna know the biggest reason why he will win ?

It's a page right out of the republican play book and it's one word. TAXES.

    revenues:
    http://www.usgovernmentrevenue.com/fed_revenue_2012USrn

they spent more than $6T. They spent $9T collected through revenue and an additional $6T on top of that, so $15T in 4 years.

real estate is in a bubble. compare to 1999 prices in real dollar values, when the fed started "cooling off" the economy and expanding government.

federal salaries? insane. they could not get those salaries (or those important-sounding titles) in the private sector coming from government.

state salaries. wow. meter maids make $70k now. bus drivers, $150k. no wonder restaurant workers want 25% gratuities.

anon, I asked you a direct question on what you posted in context.

If you can't list $6 trillion in specific spending bills by Obama and the Democrats, you're a liar.

This is not complicated. Most of us know the huge majority of deficit spending was actually spending bills passed under the Republicans, but perhaps you don't know this or don't care.

However if you really do think Obama spent us into $6 trillion in debt, please show us the specifics of how he did it.

I don't think he understands the question. He doesn't understand that spending initiated by Bush, on wars, medicare part D, and tax cuts, and much more continued during Obama's time in office.

What do you think ? Is it that he's incapable of understanding, or just that he's one of those who believes whatever he wants. I say tough call, but probably the former.

Obama would NOT have been the first president in History to undo previous Administration's BAD policy. IN FACT! Failure to do so, suggests ownership.

And that my Friends is the difference in common sense, and Bull Shit.

IMO There wasn't one single red cent spent by Bush in 2011.

He's the Person the Liberal propaganda machine marketed to run against Obama, I'm voting for him, because who am I, do deny the Democrats their wish?

Really? That's sort of funny given the HUGE amount of money and emphasis being thrown at this election cycle from various right-leaning financial and media concerns. This non-stop mention of "Liberal media" and "Liberal Propaganda" carries little weight these days given the enormous success of commercial right wing media, sold lock stock and barrel to millions of Americans every day. I can't think of anything more commercialized than right wing media.

Bullshit. Failure to do so suggests that Republicans in congress are preventing all new legislation no matter how beneficial to the country. That's the theory. So what's the actual practice? Well what do you fucking know!!!!

It's hard to say we're still in an RE bubble. A bubble is when everyone is talking about how they are making tons of free money from RE. I haven't heard such talk since 2006.

It's pretty tough to blame Obama for the housing bubble that happened long before he was elected.

Obama has his faults but the housing bubble surely isn't one of them. Let's stay sane out there.

Considering that Obama extended all of the Bush policies and added some of his own, doesn't he by default take ownership of those "failing" policies? If so then we have a failing president who is doing even worse than the previous "failing" president. We must vote him out and replace him with another president who will reverse Obama's policies and then Bush's policies to get back to a sense of "normalcy".

Normalcy being???? Clinton's policies? Be wary of weaving a logical argument which leads you into self contradiction.

Does the good CAptain actually believe that Obama could have undone those.

Even the NY Times is admitting Obama is screwed because of the economy. Wake up time for you Kool-Aide drinkers here on p-net.

There are no NY Times articles claiming Obama is screwed neither are there any NY Times articles predicting Romney will win in November. You're just making shit up again.

The last official NY Times poll has Obama and Romney statistically tied within 1% but Obama winning the electoral college.

People casting a vote for Romney because they are worried about the economy are like people voting for a pyromaniac to run the fire department. We are operating under Bush economic policies NOW and Romney will do nothing other than double down on the exact same policies.

we are still very much in a RE bubble.. why ? since 2009 we had a "mortgage meltdown",,, you dont hear the media talk about a correction. as if the bubble prices were still justified and will recover/return. .. you dont hear Franks and Dodds admitting there was a bubble either... to them its a mortgage and wall street problem.. the home price appreciation t o them and the rest of the liberals was acceptable.

I expect even direct denial by many withing 7-10 years there was ever a housing bubble.

Nothing short of the opportunity to dry-hump Bin Laden's body is going to convince a Not-Deader. Well... maybe a Not-Deader would be convinced if Glen Beck or Hannity got to do the dry-humping and then reported that Ben Laden was indeed dead.

Sadly zzyzzx isn't the first right wing moron to gleefully lap up these kind of half truths to total lies from the purveyors of propaganda.

Given a left right political scale with 0 being far left end and and 10 being the extreme right end, most of our politicians are between 6 and 9. We have about 3 politicians below 4.5

If you find yourself politically below 7.5 on the scale and you also aren't a racist retard, just feel sorry for zzyzzx. If you're religious, say a prayer for him, that he might have less ignorance and hatred in his life.

If you're religious, say a prayer for him, that he might have less ignorance and hatred in his life.

I tried praying to Schrodinger's Cat, but my prayers have gone unanswered.

I did that too. I thought I heard something but I couldn't be sure...

    35. Let Space Shuttle Die and Killed Planned Moon Mission: Allowed the expensive ($1 billion per launch), badly designed, dangerous shuttle program to make its final launch on July 8, 2011. Cut off funding for even more bloated and problem-plagued Bush-era Constellation program to build moon base in favor of support for private-sector low-earth orbit ventures, research on new rocket technologies for long-distance manned flight missions, and unmanned space exploration, including the largest interplanetary rover ever launched, which will investigate Mars’s potential to support life.

    36. Invested Heavily in Renewable Technology: As part of the 2009 stimulus, invested $90 billion, more than any previous administration, in research on smart grids, energy efficiency, electric cars, renewable electricity generation, cleaner coal, and biofuels.

    37. Crafting Next-Generation School Tests: Devoted $330 million in stimulus money to pay two consortia of states and universities to create competing versions of new K-12 student performance tests based on latest psychometric research. New tests could transform the learning environment in vast majority of public school classrooms beginning in 2014.

With reference to #35: In addition to nuclear engineer my father had also spent a significant portion of his career in aerospace. One of his projects was the shuttle. He hated it! Yes it put food on the table thank you but in reality we taxpayers would have gotten far, far more for our tax dollars with disposable rockets.

With reference to #36: More nuclear, less wind and solar please! Also Obama and Reid closed Yucca mountain after taxpayers had spent 12B on it. Not for technical or safety reasons just plain NIMBY politics. Bad Bad Bad!

With reference to #37: The one thing one CAN say for W was he did do something about education. OK, No Child Left Behind had a few problems (that's your que marcus). But I have some firsthand personal experience with it myself. The California CSET qualification exam is IMHO a far superior test to its predecessor (SSET?) - the questions of the CSET require critical thinking and actual problem solving skills while the old test was just random data regurgitation.

Time will tell if the health care reform bill will be to Obama what no child left behind was to W.
