He's for the balanced budget amendment, but hasn't voted once against tax cuts, military spending increases, or bailouts for business. Does he expect the tooth fairy to balance the budget. He's a senator, doesn't he know it's his job. What does socialized medicine (I'm assuming you mean obamacare, if so please do some research on the word socialized) have to do with the expiration of bush's tax cuts? Did you read any of the article past the headline?

Watching it burn up will bring it into perspective since to many "another 3.8%" is so small. No new tax is small and no tax increase is a good plan during a depression. This situation is a mild and protracted depression caused by the bursting of an asset fueled by credit.
