    The congressional deal to raise the debt ceiling contains automatic cuts to Medicare and Medicaid that are out of the hands of congress. (supposedly)

    However they are minor when compared to other budgetary items and will affect a tiny number of American citizens.

    On the other hand, the Ryan plan basically ends Medicare and rips away most social spending leaving a barren landscape of unemployed struggling to make ends meet circa 1932.

    Those who continue to pretend that there is no difference between the two political parties should certainly vote for Romney, because your educational seminar is coming.

    What this means is that term two of the Obama White House will be organized around cutting entitlements.

    This is laughable. Why would Obama upset his base by doing this?

    Food stamp rules have been pretty much unchanged since Reagan. I'm not sure why you want to hang Obama with this. It's Republican policies, many of which congress is blocking Obama from changing, that caused so many people to need food stamps.
