They can't afford to drive. If they sell their SUV they lose 50%. Yet they need to get to work to keep our economy going. Should we pay off their debt? Most if us just keep curent with our contract. We will pay off the SUV and continue to use it. It has a function. We bought it as transportation, not as an investment. Housing too has a function. It should be a home. With 30 years to pay it off, those who agreed to the contract should swallow the short term pain....
