I just thought it was where I grew up. People there are accustomed to living without any money, and worked only seasonally and sporadically at whatever came up. Most actually did own their land, but to say what they lived in was a "house" is a stretch. A pile of boards covered in tar paper would be a closer description. Some think that's a bad thing. At least they didn't need a "professional" to tell them it was going to be a strip mall someday, so they should buy 6 more and flip them.
