Krause's will lose business, she says
The owner of a specialty deli at Findlay Market wants her store’s name removed from an ad President Barack Obama is using to defend his record on small business.
Ten seconds into the ad “Always,” a man is shown from behind, pushing up the security door of Krause’s while Obama’s voice talks about owners sacrificing to make their businesses run.
The owner of the store, Debra Krause-McDonnell, said that she did not give permission for her business to be shown and that some customers have told her they’ll no longer shop there.
“I’ve been put into a position I didn’t ask for,” she said Wednesday after the Hamilton County Republican Party sent out an email about the ad that accused Democrats of not responding to the owner’s concerns. “I’m a little angry.”
She’d be just as angry, she said, if it were an ad for Mitt Romney.
A store manager knew about the filming, Krause-McDonnell said, but was told it was for a survey on riot doors, those metal garage-type doors that pull down and lock to protect storefronts. That might be true, said Caleb Faux, director of the Hamilton County Democratic Party, who researched the ad confusion and spoke with Obama campaign officials in Columbus.
The scene was from stock footage bought from a Cincinnati video company, Faux said. He did not know the name of the company but said he was told by the Obama campaign that company officials said they did explain to Krause’s manager that they were filming stock footage that could be purchased and used for any reason.
Faux said he first spoke with Krause-McDonnell on a Friday night and called the campaign, which got back to him by Sunday. They couldn’t do anything about the ad over the weekend, he said, but told him it would be ending anyway Monday.
Krause-McDonnell, 52, said she still saw the ad after Faux told her the campaign said it would be off the air. It is no longer airing but can be seen on YouTube.
She said in fighting against the ad, she’s also sticking up for her husband, Horace McDonnell, who died in 2007. He was a former president of the Findlay Market Business Association.

Obama has done dick all to help small businesses, in fact, he's done more to destroy small businesses. That is why he needs to use stock footage.
So he can lie about the contents of the footage as someone he's helped.

2 counties away from the reference I made in the past thread. So this is "Hamilton County", and the yokels there like those in "Clinton County" keep petitioning the state to change their name to something more "American".
I love presidential election season. It's when the vast majority of moderate, normal America gets to see all the bat shit crazy extremists march around with mouths a frothing and lips a flapping.
Reminds me of the old footage I watched growing up from Northern Ireland when a bunch of grumpy old white men would put on checkered skirts, march through each others' neighborhoods banging drums, waving flags, and throwing crap at each other.

1. A stock footage company approaches Findlay Market about buying a video of metal security doors.

3. The Obama campaign needs footage of a small business, so they buy the rights to the stock footage for their ad.
4. The owner complains.
5. The Obama administration apologizes and says they'll find some other stock footage instead.
