All through out the double oughts, Hip Hop stars told(really they don't sing) pop culture that everyone can be a high rolling baller. The finest liquor, lots of flashy jewelry, high end luxury cars, designer clothes, hell even your own designer label clothing line. You didn't need any skills or education, just live large. Well of course while not actually spoken or implied but suggested from the music, you have to deal drugs and control a corner, until your gunned down, or run a stable of Hoes.
But of course all of the suburbanites liked to pretend the music or life style had nothing to do with criminal activity. These artist were just singing about a life style that in this cheap global economy everyone should be able to shop fifth avenue even on a clerks salary.
The contrast of the investor class, hedge fund management, and pressure sales culture, that instill materialism in their environment. They say you can have these luxury things and here's how. They say not everyone can have it, just those that are willing to sacrifice their social life, family life and or their liberty and freedom if they cross the line into antitrust law violation.
It's Ironic that about the time the Hip Hop culture starts to waiver and drops from the top 2 things of Shit for your average white guy to do list.
These very same people that just a year before reckoned them selves a baller, turned on the 1%.
But not Jay Z, the Romney class, is the ones they are mad at.
Romney never told you that you deserve a chrome plated Fisker.
So why wasn't the entertainment industry(all rich entertainers) included in the 99% recommendation of wrath? They were the ones that gave you false hope, not the Madoffs and your Gordon Gekko's.
