http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/obama-gives-himself-incomplete-grade-fixing-economy_651597.html
....."In an interview with KKTV, CBS's affiliate in Colorado Spring, President Obama gives himself an "incomplete" grade on fixing the economy:"
"Your party says you inherited a bad situation," says the KKTV reporter. "You’ve had three and a half years to fix it. What grade would you give yourself so far for doing that?"
"You know I would say incomplete," Obama replies.
...."But the fact is that the American people are rightly frustrated over what they see as a system in which responsibility is not always rewarded, where people who have done the right thing all their lives still seem to be struggling, that sense that the American dream is slipping away. I think that is something that helped get me elected but it hasn't been entirely solved yet, and in some ways it's gotten tougher for folks because of the financial crisis."
***********************************************
What does it say when even the president himself, after almost 4 years, won't give himself a passing grade??? Yet, he wants the country to give him four MORE years to try and figure it out.... REALLY!!!

Not really how this is anything that amazing or revealing. Would it have been better if Obama had said that he gave himself an A? The fact is that the economy is never-ever perfect and thus giving one's self an incomplete is a more appropriate and honest answer.

He gives the economy an "A" for making him rich while he has been in office, just like the Senate and Congress.

how did the "Economy" make him rich? That's a pretty broad sweeping statement that has no meaning. Last time I looked it was ok to make money writing books.

BS. Incomplete is not "FAIL". It means you may try again. Looks like noe-cons actually suggest Obama takes another chance. LOL.

There's not much Obama can do really. When debt-fuelled bubbles collapse, there's a huge hangover. Also, the economy is global. There's nothing Obama can do about the European mess or the massive RE bubble in coastal China.
The world is increasingly ruled by a global plutocracy of Ayn Rand worshipping sociopaths. Countries and governments don't matter that much. "There is no world anymore...only corporations."

Maybe instead of giving himself the grade of "incomplete" he should of just said "present"..... the same line he used the majority of the time in the Senate....

is that any surprise at all... so what did Obama do in his last 2 years of high school ?
And somehow Obama wants run the country for another 4 years... vs Romney/Ryan who hit the ground running with their college education and careers ? WOW !
"I spent the last two years of high school in a daze....attended classes sparingly, drank beer heavily, and tried drugs enthusiastically."

It says that 40 years of bad economic policy, capped off by a financial heart attack can't be fixed in 4 years, nomatter who is elected. It says that the forces of the status quo have so much pull that they can successfully prevent any significant change from being passed or implimented even after being the architects of the crisis.
However, the alternative, returning to the same policies that dug the pit we're in is worse, and that's essentially Mitt Romney's plan. I would rather have a president that was defeated in his attempts to fix the problems of our country, but made an honest attempt to do so, than one who will happily assist the looters of American's middle and working classes in taking whatever is left.
