The "common good" is definitely not represented on the Republican ballot. Maybe the greens or libertarians, but certainly not the Republicans. Obama is at least trying to do good, whether he succeeds or not or compromises too much with lobbyists and their lackeys in Congress. The current Republicans are an unholy axis of corporate "persons" and fundamentalist cannon fodder so misguided that every step they take is in the wrong direction.

I'm glad you brought up lies and why the electorate fail to hear you regarding what you think about Obama. Despite all that has been said on the right about Obama it actually seems very few people in the electorate will even entertain or have any more patience for lies.
The electorate does not forget. We seem to be playing lie catch up. The stats bear this out.
