In the case of Yemen, 13 civilians were killed Sunday afternoon. (hint: Bin Laden is dead and we're not at war with Yemen or Pakistan). As far as the Youtube video is concerned...of course the US is involved, and we call it freedom of the press and freedom of expression. These people (and I'm not speaking of radicals alone, but MOST Muslims), seriously need a good 8 years of comedic abuse via Saturday Night Live, Jon Stewart, South Park and the rest of the sarcastic front-line. Just to get them to chill out. I wasn't going to support draw Mohammed Day, but I may now. By the way, where is the media yelling and screaming about Obama killing 13 civilians in Yemen last weekend?

Think about it. And then consider this -- Obama is as about as friendly to radical Muslims as a US President could ever be without inviting them to the White House for his daily security briefings and giving them the keys to our arms depots. So we have escalation now, with the intent of drawing in the United States and driving outrage here at home. If that is achieved, the bet is, the American people will not "take a risk" with Romney. I'm willing to bet the Muslims are scared to death that Romney's first act will likely be to pull a Reagan as he is rumored to have done with Iran when he won election, telling the Iranians that if the hostages were still being held when his hand went on the Bible they were going to find out about the truth of that 72 virgins in paradise schtick roughly 15 minutes later. I betcha that's the calculation -- this is not about a "movie" or anything else -- and that would nicely explain the mealy-mouth crap coming from Obama and Hillary too. The bottom line is that they're both so craven that keeping their job is far more important than anything else -- like, for instance, the lives of our embassy staffers. We already know what they think of The Constitution. I'll also bet that Congress doesn't have the balls to stand up and cut off the money to all these nations either.

Many others "depict" the madman himself. The mullahs are making a bid for power and influence, as they've done countless times before, and they're using the stupidest followers they have to accomplish it. Now, who is leading the clerics and television personalities to do this at this moment? My personal suspicion is that it's the Mossad, who has agents in these countries stirring up shit. The purpose is simple. Israel's leaders have come right out and said that Obama is not an ideal president for their purposes, that they would prefer someone else. So stir up Muslim trouble right before an election and watch the numbers swing away from an incumbent who many americans already believe is either a Muslim or is tied too closely to Islam to be effective against this sort of threat. At the same time, this creates ample opportunity for gaffes and weak wristed handling by the administration that will further embarrass Obama and lead voters to view him with suspicion. I don't think he has done anything wrong so far, but the situation is bad for him. A few percentage points would be enough to give us the first Mormon POTUS.

It can be said it aired on Egyptian TV but I don't know if Nilesat has a line of sight that gets into libya. Furthermore although it can be argued that a video could egg people on it is still up to the individual people to decide how they act. Back in 2000 the second intafata was started when Sharon visited the Temple Mount. He didn't exactly have a good human rights record to say the least. I think it says something odd in that everyone protesting seems to have ample amount of time off and feels that this is a net gain rather than working.
