Not to be biased, but if I was pro Obama, I would really be ashamed to be put in the same group as these people... what a sad group....
https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=G5DTqvX74O4
I've seen more than one of these type of videos, so it's not a one off situation...
The thing is, I haven't seen the same similar behavior from the conservative side... yes the Tea Party has staged rallies, but they definitely didn't resemble the video above....
If someone has links to a similar pro republican video showing similar actions, please post the links.

Where are the other videos of this type you've seen?
From what I can tell, this is an ambiguous situation. In the same video, some are paid to be there and others are not - and it's not clearly stated what the ones who are being paid are being paid for (ie are they on the clock then, and are they required to protest -or are some paid to help transport / organize and choose to protest?).
Also, conservatives have done worse - look into the Brooks Brothers riots. In that case, people were paid to obstruct the recount process. They committed acts of violence, unlike the protesters in the video linked above.
Really, there's no comparison between the modern republican and democratic parties today. They've both got a fair dose of corruption and desperation, but the republican party has the majority of the oppressive religious loonies and psychotic despot types and racists. In the end, though, we can't judge the nominees of each party by the actions of individual supporters or groups of supporters - we have to judge them by their own actions and beliefs.

A post from another forum::
What's the difference between Obama supporters and Romney supporters?
Romney supporters sign their checks on the front.
Obama supporters sign theirs on the back.

Fair enough, but that also includes checks written to offshore tax shelters, right?

Crazy, I am surprised that you fell for this.
Of course those being interviewed are conservative plants in the rallies trying to make Obama supporters look bad. You know, just like the people holding up the racist signs at the tea party rallies.

Hey Trolls, personalty attacking me will not make Mitt Romney stop hiding his money offshore and never will.
If Romney become President he will have an effective rate of tax at 0.8%
Sounds fair?

The packers loss last monday night was Barack's inside job - since 80% of money was on green bay, they needed to steal that money so that they could funnel in through solyndra so that they could give it right back to democrats slush fund. Oreilly, you hear this? Where is my damn contract?

Yeah, well....if you're a republican these days you're in the same group as all kinds of crazy and or ignorant and or gullible idiots.
Both partys have their share of idiots.
But I wonder if you were to poll only the top 5% (intelligence wise) of the people, what percentage would be planning on voting for Obama and what percentage would be voting for Romney ?
Take out all college faculty if you wish.
I believe that of the remaining highly intelligent people, at least 70% would be planning on voting for Obama.
About the other 30%,....I'll say this: Intelligence doesn't totally prevent a person from being selfish, or at least placing an undue priority on self interest. And since many of those very smart people are successful doctors, lawyers or businesspeople, many will vote their self interest (i.e expected taxes).

Ironically, though, if anything, Romney might be more successful raising taxes than Obama would be, for the simple fact that the republicans then actually get credit for doing the right thing (as opposed to only going along with Obama and him getting credit).
Those republicans are,....ummm...complex. They don't like doing the right thing unless the credit goes to them.
This was almost enough reason for me to vote for Romney, if it weren't for how much of a douchebag he is, and also, you know,...the supreme court, and foreign policy, and a couple other issues.

The "conservative" side isn't innocent by a long shot when it comes to behaviour. That's an understatement.
Call it Crazy says
Interesting... so how is it that this could have any sort of relevance? The wealthiest, most economically important states in the country are all states that lean heavily democratic. That's right- the states that have the lion's share of millionaires and billionaires as well as a generally higher paid workforce happen to be liberal states. Thus again- the above statement carries no weight.

Retarded strawman bs.
We have a huge deficit, we spend way more than we bring in with taxes. Increasing revenue is part of the solution. That's what Reagan thought after he exploded the deficit with tax cuts and increases in defense spending. That's what Bush senior thought when he faced up to reality.
It's what any sane person who isn't trying to destroy the US would think.
Let's pay our bills and balance the budget.
With borrow and spend republicans...versus the tax and spend democrats, which one do you think is more likely to control spending ?
The answer is clear, and the implication is clear. The republicans don't want to control spending, except supposedly they do at times like now when they can lie about it in an effort to obtain more power.
Wanna know why they secretly don't want to control spending ?
Because controlling spending means less money to the rich in the form of tax cuts we can not afford. It means less money towards an unnecessarily large military.
It means actually making the tough choices.

Actually, the bigger issue is, you are trying to make a point that they are different. The reality is, NEITHER will control spending and will continue to spend like drunken sailors.... (no offense to sailors).
Thinking that there is a difference between a D or an R when it comes to spending is your first mistake.... and neither party will make ANY changes in their behavior until this country goes through a "reset" and the shit is flushed out of D.C.!!!

Actually it is quite simple.
If we had much more progressive taxes, with the understanding that taxes can only come down again when spending is under control, then the decision makers who are all in high income higher bracket category, would have sufficient motivation to make the tough decisions.
Why do you pretend that this is hard to understand ?
This is so simple and so obviously correct. The problem with it is that living within our means would naturally give higher priority to the regular people's govt spending priorities and less priority to things like unfunded wars and corporate welfare.
(not to even mention tax cuts for the rich)

why does he have to provide 'a point relevant to the campaign'?
He is offering an observation.
That's the problem with you libbers, you have your heads so far up the campaign's ass you can't even recognize a simple coherent observational statement.

Call from Clay County GOP: Obama is a Muslim who'll take away Medicare
http://news.jacksonville.com/specials/audio/0927GOPcall.wav
http://m.jacksonville.com/news/metro/2012-09-27/story/call-clay-county-gop-obama-muslim-wholl-take-away-medicare
TALLAHASSEE - In audio picked up by an answering machine, a volunteer for the Republican Party of Clay County can be heard calling President Barack Obama “a Muslim” and saying he wants to “get rid of your Medicare” while reaching out to voters in support of Mitt Romney’s campaign.
The call was made as part of a statewide phone bank for Romney’s campaign being conducted by the Clay County GOP. The volunteer, who was not identified, did not hang up before moving onto her next call.
Her pitch to the next person was picked up on the first person’s answering machine.
Listen to the recorded phone call
“I don’t know if you have done any research on Obama or not, but he is a Muslim,” the woman said during the roughly 90-second call.
Leslie Dougher, head of the Clay GOP, said the party does not support the volunteer’s statements.
“It was off-script completely. We have everything scripted,” Dougher said. “Those are clearly not the views of the Republican Party of Clay County or the Mitt Romney campaign.”
The voicemail message was given to WMNF, a Tampa-area radio station that describes itself as “independent, progressive news and public affairs.” The station did not identify the source of the audio but said the person identified the Clay GOP’s number from caller ID.
“I received the call from a Polk County listener who said the recording was left on his answering machine,” said Rob Lorei, who aired the audio Wednesday on a show he hosts.
The volunteer also told the person on the other end of the line that Obama wants to turn the United States into “a socialistic country” and that he would end the federal program that provides health insurance for people older than 65.
“Y’all sound like y’all are seniors citizens, right?” the volunteer said. “You really don’t want Obama because he will get rid of your Medicare … say goodbye to it.”
Dougher said the volunteer was counseled about that call, but she wasn’t sure if the woman was still making calls. Dougher also questioned the legality of playing audio after the volunteer was unaware they were being recorded.
“Can you air a recording like that?” she asked. “If not, I would question a station playing something like that illegally.”
Lorei said the decision to play the audio was an easy one to make.
“This listener tells me that he frequently gets calls from the GOP,” he said. “His answering machine did what answering machines do when a person is not there to pick up the phone, it recorded the phone call.”
