Is the site faster now?

I wasted most of today on performance tweaks to the site, minimizing the number of database calls.

Was it worth it? Is the site noticably faster?

Any other suggestions for improvement?

One difference seems to be, when I look at the home page, where each thread with comments used to say "[Username] says" now some say only "says". It might be faster but I always thought the site was fast enough.

The "next page" link on the real estate forum leads to an empty page.

OK, fixed now.

Anything else borken, or could be better?

(Yes, I meant "borken". In Unixland something is either borken or it wroks.)
