Is the site faster now?

I wasted most of today on performance tweaks to the site, minimizing the number of database calls.

Was it worth it? Is the site noticably faster?

Any other suggestions for improvement?

   1   6:13pm Mon 22 Oct 2012   Share   Quote   Permalink   Like   Dislike   One difference seems to be, when I look at the home page, where each thread with comments used to say "[Username] says" now some say only "says". It might be faster but I always thought the site was fast enough.
