So I'm on CNN and I see the headline link
"Fresh polls give Obama the advantage in four crucial battlegrounds"

I think OK the pollsters have some new data to report.
I read it then I get to the bottom comments and notice they are from September.
Then I scrolled back to the top and saw I missed the header.

Besides it was the Liberals that kicked this fresh turd on a hot day.
Back in 2000 when they couldn't dictate that invalid votes should have counted for "THIER" guy. So it was the Liberals that tweaked the system in hopes it would give them the edge. The Republicans as always took that shit from them and beat their simple dumb ass senseless with it. It would be my hope that republicans manage to rig the machine in their favor for every election until the Liberals demand we do away with the electronic voting machines that THEY championed.
    Dumb pathetic twats.

I'm looking at basically all of the polls combined. Hence both liberal and conservative-leaning polls and the general state of the race is that Obama has a fairly pronounced lead in the electoral count and a modest lead in the popular vote.

    With out a doubt.
I think if any Poll actually represented the truth, then one of the candidates would be out Kingware shopping.

Poll results are serve two purposes, one poll you would release to build momentum, then a poll you would release showing the competition winning to scare supporters that are sitting on the fence.

IN other words it would behoove either side to release polls at different times showing either candidate winning. Not always just showing that your side is winning. That can work against you.

Its the mark of your utter lack of character that you'd even joke about such a thing.

Its also the mark of of your lack of character that you just accept that "each side" releases flawed and manipulated polls to support themselves.

Is also a flaw of of your character that you don't seem to recognize or admit that there are independent polling sources who have provided consistently accurate measures of the state of things over the years.

May I also point out that you're aggressively supporting a candidate who has no real position on any topic he's spoken on, has been shown in study after study to be lying out of his ass regarding his economic plan, and would sodomize you with a golf club if he thought it wpuld make him 10 more cents... Okay I made the last one up, but I think it's a fairly accurate distillation.

Which of course means Democrats and Republicans are brothers under the skin, given all the whining in 2000 and even 2004 by Dems, right?

FWIW, Real Clear Politics with their averaging of recent polls has Romney ahead in the popular vote by 0.9%, though when you look at each individual poll the figures are all over the map: The Washington Times(!) has Obama ahead by 3% and Gallup has Romney ahead by 5%.

    http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2012/president/us/general_election_romney_vs_obama-1171.html

PS: I do think Obama will win, but that as rhetoric moved to reality post-election the reality of the difference between an Obama and Romney administration would've been as hard to make out as the difference between two lima beans.

Wrong. There is no comparison. A group of scientists got together and wrote a paper detailing legitimate concerns about statistical impossibilities in the Ohio election.

In contrast, Republicans paid people to storm election offices in Florida during the recount because they needed the video to make it seem like the election was being stolen.

Democrats respond like a group of civilized and educated intellectuals. Republicans respond like a pack of frenzied apes.

When Obama wins in November, there is going to be outrage and horror combined with vehement hatred of the United States and 50% of its voting citizens. Most Republicans are GOP religious zealots and will respond like animals.

I don't know about that. After thinking it through, I'm of the opinion that it might make a huge difference in ways that are not so intuitive.

Romney will not have nearly the resistance from congress that Obama does. Initially, this realization caused me to ponder whether a ROmney admin might be better at addressing problems than an Obama admin in 2013 - 2016 (not withstanding possible supreme court impact). But then I considered what ROmney would potentially get done, in collaboration with an ultra right wing house, and in deals with the senate. Strong possibilities include:

    Massive decreases in tax revenues

    Increased government spending on military

Privatizing government services that should not be privatized.

It's impossible to predict what the outcome of massive deficit increases, and a dramatic further increase in wealth inequality, but a good guess is that it would mean that we move closer than ever to being like a third world country. Not to even mention the possiblilty of another unnecessary war.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashley_Todd_mugging_hoax

In October 2008, Ashley Todd, a volunteer for the U.S. presidential campaign of Republican John McCain,[1] falsely claimed to have been the victim of robbery and politically motivated physical assault by a supporter of McCain's Democratic opponent Barack Obama.[2] The story broke less than two weeks before the 2008 United States presidential election on November 4. Todd later confessed to inventing the story after surveillance photos and a polygraph test were presented. She was charged with filing a false police report, and entered a probation program for first-time offenders.

Todd's story received international attention, including prominent coverage on Drudge Report and Fox News. John Moody, executive vice president at Fox News, commented in a blog on the network's website that "this incident could become a watershed event in the 11 days before the election," but also warned that "[i]f the incident turns out to be a hoax, Senator McCain’s quest for the presidency is over, forever linked to race-baiting."[8]

Republicans will do anything. They are motivated by hatred not reason. Fear not hope. Hyper-nationalism and not inclusiveness. There is no conservative movement in the United States. There is only a fascist one.

The more you folks call people stupid and racists, that rationalizing voting for a man they believe will do a better a job than Obama. The more you're proving the sentiment in the sign zzyzzx posted right.
I mean most white people have only had four years of being called Stupid, Racist, and every other vile word in the book. Though you might not think these guys shouldn't care about the religious class you're really despising. They are somebodies folks at the end of the day. And it begins to ware on them and they feel you're also attacking all white people. It was the Left that has made this election about Race, and now that is biting them in the ass they are pissed off. The funny thing, these guys aren't voting because they think Obama is black and they hate him. NO, they are revolting the apologist Liberal nanny in your face let's regulate everything you do, then call you names Liberals.

Even black guys are called names for Voting republican. The ones that actually want to make a life for them selves, aren't with the White Liberal agenda.

Captain, I must ask, are you really a programmer and if so then how do you function? Computers are extremely literal, so even the slightest error of spelling, word choice, or syntax can result in failure. Also, computers demand rigorous logic. Reading your comments, I cannot imagine you programming computers.

Then again, I also can't believe Marcus claiming to be a math teacher.

I don't have to worry about the string values goes inside the quotes.
That is either user supplied or came from the database. Most good programmers are famous for typos and their penmanship is horrendous.
Syntax errors on the other hand is far less subtle and are usually caught as I type them. Sure my parameter names may be misspelled, but I really don't care.

I have a motto, I'm not concerned with what something is called, I only worry about what it does. It's a different thought process I guess. But I'm always the guy people go to when they are through pulling their hair out over a complex problem. Just don't ask me to document it.

Look at what the right wing has done just since Obama got elected, as there are 50 or so incidents of them destroying lives, property and even themselves based solely on their ideology. From killing cops to committing various crimes which WAS predicted in a memo by Homeland Security, that they would behave that way.

The only thing that would have made them behave worse was if Michelle obama had been elected.

Well you know if Politicofact said it then that's good enough for them. They don't need no stinking sources.

All this BS about sources isn't even tangential anymore. It's running away shrieking and scared because none of you zealots want to talk about the subject matter.

Politicofact does nothing but quote someone, then they produce a graphic that confers with their opinion. It's not like the Liberal media doesn't think everyone but them is stupid. Gullible wouldn't be a far stretch.

Desperate Democrats are now hanging their hopes on a new Quinnipiac University/New York Times/CBS News poll showing the president with a five-point Ohio lead. But that survey gives Democrats a +8 advantage in turnout, the same advantage Democrats had in 2008. That assumption is, to put it gently, absurd.
