How about a mock-commando group called the Decembrists which go around with black spray paint reminding people that Christmas is in December by kindly painting their Xmas decorations black?
Seriously, it just bugs me when Christmas decorations go up earlier and earlier each year.

Dunno about defacing people's xmas decorations, but how about adding stuff, maybe Easter bunnies (it's just around the corner!), Cinco de Mayo, and 4th of July (why are you taking that down - do you hate America?!?)

You're right, adding Easter bunnies would be more polite.
Maybe the Easter bunny could become the symbol of pre-Thanksgiving Xmas decoration protest. Is there anything better?

This could actually be a yearlong PatNet project. After every theme holiday, from Valentine's to Secretary's Day, we could ask local retailers for their leftover displays that they're throwing away. Then, when the early Christmas displays show up in the store windows, add everything back. It's an omni-holiday celebration!

Oh I see it's not a hate crime if nobody gets hurt.

Paint Walmart black!
Or at least paint Easter Bunnies all over them.
