California leads nation in number of completed foreclosures •  A lower foreclosure inventory is a good indicator of improving housing markets With 105,000 completed foreclosures for the 12-month period ending October 31, California leads the nation in the number of foreclosed homes, according to a new report Monday from financial information company CoreLogic Inc. (NYSE: CLGX) of Irvine.
