Of President Obama and the Democrats’ many refrains that irk me to no end, the incessant iterations of “we need to further regulate big finance and kill the Bush tax cuts in order to avoid the policies that got us here in the first place” are among the worst.

You are missing the part where it is currently getting jammed full of a lot more hot air. It's going to blow real big before it deflates again.
