New York gunman who killed firefighters left note saying he 'likes killing people'

A gunman who shot dead two firemen on Christmas Eve after luring them into a trap left a note saying he intended to “do what I like doing best, killing people”, police said tonight.

Question:

What if this guy is not legally judged mentally ill! Not a convicted felon but still on some sort of prescription medication for a mental illness. Then what? Should he be allowed a licence? Should he be on a list?

I hear a lot of deflection on gun control and no answers coming from the right except more guns in schools and guns to follow our children about!

He was a 50 year old guy who sat near Safeco Field and played before the games for coins. A group of teenage thugs beat him to death...not for money but for kicks. Well, because of their age, they served almost no time. However, as a group they seem to find themselves in endless trouble after they turned 18. One of them was arrested several times afterward for pushing someone in front of a bus, then reckless driving and finally for assault and possession of a deadly weapon and got ten years. Just this week there was a shooting and killing in a suburban sports bar in Bellevue, WA that involved a second member of the Tuba Man Killers. Bellevue is the kind of place has always been the furthest place in the world from armed thugs...a sort of mecca for "marketing representatives". The point being that these psychopaths initially committed murder with their shoes (they kicked the Tuba Man to death). They were let go, and thereafter acquired weapons, cars and continued to rampage. How can you blame guns in this instance? We had the crazies in a cell after one crime that identified them as lunatics, and the system allowed them back into society.
