Maybe they are just fighting the Fed's unending QE. The Yen is close to life time highs-though lower now. The Chinese manipulate their currency and nobody seems to care-so why should the Japanese keep doing nothing. Borrow and spend seems to be the new mantra-countries or for mortgages.

While China dumped into Solar, Obama spread the money around into multiple renewable energy sources for local consumption.
Hence as of 2016 the USA will be a net exporter of gas and oil!

This is how to create safety and security for the USA, without being dependent on ANY middle eastern country!
Although I am anti-fracking! It's not transparent and not as safe as the energy companies make it out to be. The long term effects of pumping 600 toxins (unknown) + into the earth is troubling.
