Wet back was a term used MAINLY by Mexican Americans in response to the Illegal Mexican in California.

So who calls who a wet back ?

Bullshit, the term wetback came from Mexicans swimming the Rio Grande to get into Texas, although with all the water pulled out of the Rio Grande for irrigation wet ankles would be a more accurate term in most places .
