A 53-year-old woman has lodged a complaint with the Jnanabharathi police alleging that her longtime friend Hanumanth Raju, a realtor, raped her after a New Year party at her house on Monday night. The woman alleged that after the other guests left, Hanumanth Raju remained at her house and forced himself on her. Jnanabharathi police have registered a rape case under Section 376 IPC and arrested Hanumanth Raju, a resident of Chamarajpet.
